Trimming the Tree Royal Copenhagen issued its first Christmas Plate in 1908, and ever since then this tradition-laden collectior's series has been a part of the celebration of Christmas in homes all over the world.
This 2000 Christmas Plate is the 93rd edition in the series, and is titled "Trimming the Tree".The motif was created by the artist Sven Vestergaard, who has allowed himself to be inspired by the custom of decorating Christmas trees.The plate is hand-decorated in blue under glaze colors. As a guarantee of the authenticity of the plate, it is furnished with Royal Copenhagen's hallmark of three wavy lines and the initials of the painter.
